In June, the Mind Trust team visited Iponri Junior High school Surulere. The students in attendance was 100, from JSS1 and JSS2. The head teacher was present with the students at the lecture.One of our team members told the students all that we stand for and the reason why we had come. The topics taught those present are: peer pressure, substance abuse, causes of mental illness, and how to be mentally healthy. The students participated by asking and answering questions. Educative materials were given the students and the head teacher thanked the team.

MIND TRUST ACTIVITIES 2013
In February, the MIND Trust team visited Ajayi Crowther Memorial school Bariga on her school mental health enlightenment program. We had over 100 students in attendance from SS1 - SS3, four teachers and the school counselor also in attendance. Topics taught are: Substance Abuse, Peer Pressure, causes of mental illness, how to be mentally healthy and effects of substance abuse. The students contributed their own quota and asked intelligent questions. Educative materials was given to all present. The school counselor thanked the team for choosing their school to enlighten them on such vital issues.
The Mind Trust team in April visited Atunrase Junior High school for her school mental health enlightenment program. Our medical students volunteer also went on the visit with our team. 100 students were in attendance, from JSS1 - JSS3. We had over 100 students in attendance, two teachers and the school counselor. Our usual topics was taught the those present: peer pressure, substance abuse, sexual abuse, effects of substance abuse, causes of mental illness, how to be mentally healthy and bullying. Our team after the lecture nominated mental health ambassadors among the students seen as the bullies in the school.Mental health materials was given to all present for the lectures and the school counselor thanked the team and the team decided to start our school mental health club.

MIND TRUST ACTIVITIES 2012
*MIND Trust visited the Heart of Gold Children Hospice Surulere on the 12th of March 2012. A donation of 10 bottles each of Asthymin and Abidec syrup was donated to the home, and the gifts were well appreciated.
*Ibikunle Alakija Memorial High school was the second school visited by the Mind Trust team for her school menyal health enlightenment program. The students in attendance were from JSSI to JSS 3. The proprietress of the school, the principal and all teachers were in attendance. Substance Abuse, Peer Pressure, Causes of mental health and How to be mentally healthy was spoken on. The students were very intelligent in the kind of questions asked and the answers given. The principal was grateful that we visited their school. Educative materials were given to all present for the lecture. The Mind Trust team also met with the school teachers after speaking with on how they can detect students early.
The Mind Trust also visited Fountain Heights secondary school for her school mental health enlightenment program. We had well over 100 students in attendance with some of the teachers and the vice principal academics in attendance. The team spoke to the students on Peer Pressure, Substance Abuse, Causes of Mental illness, and How to be Mentally Healthy. The students were attentive and asked intelligent questions. Educative materials on mental health were given to all in attendance.The Mind Trust team visited St Lukes Grammar school. The school counselor, a teacher, the vice principal academics and JSS3 students were in attendance. Peer Pressure, Substance abuse, Causes of Mental ill health and social factors in relation to substance abuse. The students asked questions and got answers to their questions. Educative materials were given all in an attendance. The vice principal urged the Mind Trust team to come back and sensitize their teachers on how to detect students that might have challenges,
*The Mind Trust team went with the Lagos State Ministry of Health for their primary school health program in October at the Apapa local government in Ajegule. The Mind Trust team admimistered questionaires to the primary school students with the help of their class teachers, to know their mental state.
*To Mark the World Mental Health Day on October 10th, the Mind Trust team and other stakeholders in mental health, went on a walk with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). The walk was organised to sensitize Lagosians on how to be mentally healthy. Depression: A Global crisis, was the theme for the year.

In commemorating the World Mental Health Day, the Mind Trust team and other stakeholders in mental health, went on a walk with the Ministry of health from Allen Junction to the Secretariat Alausa, sensitizing the populace on their mentally well being.

The Mind Trust team with also at the Ojota park with the Ministry of Health. His excellency Governor Raji Fashola was also at the venue, were experts sensitized bus drivers on the use of alcohol before driving and the dangers involved. Breathalyzers were used on the drivers present.
The Mind Trust team visited Orioke Ipakoto, were donations of food items,izal and drugs were donated to the home, for the mentally challenged in the church. The Mind Trust team made those running the church realise that in as much as prayer is good for them, medicine also has its place.

MIND TRUST ACTIVITES IN 2010
In marking the World Mental Health Day 2010, the Mind Trust team marked the day at the Old Great hall College of Medicine, University of Lagos. We had people in the medical community in attendance.Top medical officials, Nurses, medical students, and the media were also in attendance.

*The Mind Trust team visited Anglican Girls secondary school for her school mental health program. We had well over 150 students in attendance. The school principal and some teachers were also present. The Mind Trust team in attendance spoke on the following: peer pressure, drug abuse, causes of mental ill health and how to be mentally healthy. The students asked very intelligent questions which amazed the team and also gave intelligent answers to questions asked them. The Mind Trust team was very impressed by the students participation. The principal thanked the team for choosing their school to enlighten them on these issues. Educative material on mental health was given to them.
*The Mind Trust team visited Eko Boys high school for our school mental health program. We had over 200 students in attendance, who were eager to hear what we had to teach them. Some of the teachers were also present. Our usual topics were taught them: peer pressure, substance abuse, how to be mentally healthy and causes of mental health. The students surprised us with the kind of questions they asked after the lectures and the answers they gave when questions were are asked them. Educative materials were given to all present and refreshments too. The head teacher thanked the team for coming to their school.
*To celebrate the World Mental Health Day n 2009, the Mind Trust team visited the Rehabilitation center at Owutu Majidun in Ikorodu with food items, clothes and drugs for the patients of the home.The Mind Trust medical team saw some patients and administered drugs to them.
