MIND TRUST ACTIVITIES IN 2008

 In April 2008, the Mind Trust team, rescued a vagrant psychotic woman who had made a house for herself and her son on the streets of Lagos. We got the woman treated in the Lagos State Psychiatric hospital and her son taken into the little saints orphanage. The woman after some months of treatment was reunited with her family in Ibadan.






The MIND Trust team visited Aje Comprehensive High school in 2008 for our School Mental Health program, were students were being sensitized on  causes of Mental ill health. Over 100 hundred students were in attendance with some of the school teachers. Topics like: substance abuse,peer pressure, depression and how to be mentally healthy was taught the students. The students answered questions asked intelligently, and materials on how to maintain good mental health was distributed to all present. The vice principal thanked the team for coming to enlighten both teachers and students about their mental health.
